We love Sketch.

In fact, we used Sketch to make the super sweet header image you see above this text.

In fact, we use Sketch to make ALL our header images.

Sketch, hands down, is the best mockup and quick web design tool we’ve used. There are notable others, which we’ll cover later, but Sketch takes the cake.

Why we love Sketch

Here’s a quick bulleted summary of why we recommend Sketch.

  • It’s easy to learn.
  • Its snap recommendations make many artboards look professional and pleasing to the eye.
  • SVG manipulation and importing is excellent.
  • Integrates with FlatIcon and others.
  • Useful plugins.
  • Provides templates and thousands of resources at https://www.sketchappsources.com/
  • Again, super easy to use.

Why Sketch Cloud is a must for remote content and design teams

Sketch Cloud preview.

If you’re a content team, you need to have great images to go with your content, especially articles. A good article means nothing without a click-worthy header image. Sketch Cloud lets you share your designs with the rest of your team and receive comments, feedback, insights, and more.

Here’s what Sketch Cloud gives you:

  • Shareable links for feedback.
  • Privacy settings for feedback and sharing.
  • Option to turn comments off.
  • Links auto-update so you don’t need to send new ones.
  • Share your designs from inside the Sketch app, so it’s super easy and fast.
  • Invite people to comment in addition to link sharing.
  • Cloud Inspector allows for design handoffs.

In addition to sharing with colleagues, Sketch Cloud is useful for sharing with clients if you’re not in-house.
